For each entry in the UP200 Dryland Dash a $1 donation is set aside for the Upper PeninsulaAnimal Welfare Shelter (UPAWS). It took a little longer than anticipated to get the check fromour Dryland Dash partner, WI Trailblazers, into the paws of UPAWS. The delay, entirely on theUPSDA side of things, resulted from scheduling glitches between UPSDA President DarleneWalch and UPAWS. But finally, the $67 donation was presented to shelter supervisor HayleyWeston who was assisted by friendly and adoptable shelter resident Roxie. Were pleased toprovide assistance to UPAWS and wish Roxie and the UPAWS staff a wonderful holiday. Wealso hope Roxie finds her forever home soon!
