Welcome to the Caregiver Incentive Project, a new sponsor for the 2022 races! The Caregiver Incentive Project (CIP) is working to end the national shortage of qualified in-home caregivers. CIP is working to improve lives by educating the public about the shortage of caregivers, providing scholarship and stipend incentives for current and future caregivers to pursue training, and by offering training for new caregivers. CIP came on as a UP200 sponsor in order to show support for the Marquette and Alger County communities that have been so supportive of their mission. The Caregiver Incentive Project will have $2,000 scholarships available starting this April. These scholarships aim to incentivize students to become in-home caregivers/volunteers while attending college.
