Grand Marais : U.P. 200 Checkpoint

Grand Marais is the farthest point east that the U.P. 200 mushers travel. Bordered by Lake Superior, this checkpoint is fully equipped with food, parking and there is lodging available. Its a great location to see the dog teams at rest in this half way point of the race. You can get lunch or a bite to eat in the race checkpoint location located in the Rec Center. Grand Marais is a favorite destination for snowmobilers and winter recreationists.

Scheduled Events: To be Announced.

A fine place for lodging in Grand Marais is the North Shore Lodge.
