There will be a 5 hour rest requirement in Wetmore for upbound UP200 teams.  

NOTICE TO IDITAROD QUALIFIERS

Mushers using the 2020 UP200 as an Iditarod qualifier will be assessed an additional fee of $25.00, which can be paid during musher on-site registration.


WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2020

Race Headquarters will open and remain open until Monday morning.

The Silent Auction and Merchandise will be open at the Holiday Inn on Thursday, February 13.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2020

Musher registration opens at 9 a.m. at the Holiday Inn.  All Mushers must be registered before Mandatory Meetings. (please allow 20 minutes for registration)

There will be a “welcome” gift for you to pick up at headquarters and any additional forms requiring your signature will be on hand.  Mushers also sign promotional sled banners at registration.

A musher under the age of 18 will require parental and race official approval.

MANDATORY MEETINGS will be held at the Holiday Inn. (The meeting room will be posted at headquarters)

MIDNIGHT RUN meeting is at 4pm (EST).

UP200 meeting is at 5pm (EST).

PRE-RACE BANQUET will be held at the Holiday Inn (Marquette), at 6:30pm. A social hour will be followed by dinner and the bib draw. All Mushers are required to be present, UP200 and MIDNIGHT RUN mushers will receive one complimentary ticket. Additional tickets can be purchased in the merchandise room at the Holiday Inn.  Please reserve your tickets in advance if possible.

There will be a split draw for bib numbers, if there are 22 entries in the UP200 the first 11 will draw numbers 1-12 (Bib # 11 remains permanently retired in honor of former musher Billy Orazietti). Bib numbers will be drawn in the order entries were received. The UPSDA board will conduct the bib draw during the musher meetings and bibs will be given to the mushers at the Pre-Race banquet.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2020

MANDATORY vet check will be held at Riverside Auto parking lot beginning at 9:00 am.  (Note: Riverside has a new location: on US-41 West, near the Wal Mart.  Parking is limited so please come at your scheduled time.)  Rabies vaccine must be given by a veterinarian at least two weeks prior to the race.

It is the mushers responsibility to call and reserve a vet check time. Please call Pat Woods at  906-458-9994.  

RACE START TIMES

UP200:  Opening Ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m. in front of The Mining Journal.  Downtown Marquette races start at 7:00 p.m.

MIDNIGHT RUN:  Will start 30 minutes after the last UP200 team has left the chute, but not before 8:30 p.m.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2020

MIDNIGHT RUN AWARDS BANQUET (4PM ) will be held at the Marquette Township Hall on Commerce Drive and is open to the public. All MNR Mushers receive one complimentary ticket. Tickets should be purchased in advance at the merchandise room at Holiday Inn (Midnight Run mushers receive one ticket with their registration). A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2020

The Silent Auction closes at noon SHARP!  Please check your bids and claim your items. Merchandise will be available from 10:00am – 3:00pm.

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2020

UP200 AWARDS BREAKFAST ( 8 AM )  at the HOLIDAY INN.  All UP200 mushers will receive one complimentary ticket, additional tickets can be purchased in advance.
