Hello Race Fans:
I am S...Yukon. I am part husky and a lot of other breeds - all of them highly intelligent. This year I will be your connection for the sled dog race, especially the part about the dogs.
Let's begin this case, oh, I mean race, by telling you a little about me. I live here in the Upper Peninsula. I can't say exactly where for security reasons. But I am used to the weather and I like snow. I also like code work, but that isn't important right now.
This year's race has 39 dog teams registered so far, several of them who will be going on to other races afterwards. The conditions of the
trail will probably be excellent, since we have plenty of snow this year. Many of the dogs will be wearing booties on their feet. This is to protect them from being damaged when they run all those miles. Booties can also be used to conceal messages, so if anyone notices a dog with funny looking booties, please let me know right away.
Most of the sled dogs are busy right now running and building their strength for the race. There are other races going on as well, but this is one of the longest races in the United States, so physical training is very important.
