Fellow spies,
I've been following the races all weekend and boy am I getting tired. I even had the snowman stake out the kiddie mutt races today to make sure there was no monkey business there.
The Midnight Run dogs were awfully fast this year. The dogs pulling Tim Riley won the Red Lantern prize in that race and they agreed to help me watch for any funny business during that race. They have reported no information for us to use on our investigation.
The U.P. 200 is another story. The guy from Alaska turned out to be a recruiter looking for dog mushers to work in Alaska over the summer. He did not seem interested in Dr. Tim's dog food, but then again, he did have a cagy look about him. I think his name was Seavey.
Anyway, the U.P. 200 is now at the halfway point and those dogs are going to really be running fast now to try and get back to Marquette as soon as possible. This case will be coming to a close within the next day and I feel confident that I can crack it. The weather has been fine and there haven't been any injuries to any dogs.
Dr. Hunt is fast on the trail of Ed Stielstra's dogs. I wonder if he knows something that I don't? I'll get back to you spies later.
Sam Yukon
