ANNUAL UPSDA MEETING FEATURES TRIP FOR TWO DRAWING TO 2006 IDITAROD

 

MARQUETTE —Cellular One is sponsoring a drawing for a trip for two to the 2006 Iditarod. This trip will be awarded at the annual meeting of the Upper Peninsula Sled Dog Association on May 11th, 2005.

  A social event sponsored by Cellular One will be combined with the Upper Peninsula’s annual membership meeting. This special event is being offered (at no charge) to all members, sponsors, volunteers and sled dog enthusiasts. This event is scheduled for MAY 11th, 2005, at the Holiday Inn in Marquette.

    Complimentary refreshments will be served from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Beginning at 6:30 pm, Ramy Brooks, one of the world’s most renowned names in dog mushing will present “Live your Dream”, based on his Iditarod experiences. He will also be available during and after the annual meeting. After the presentation, a drawing will be held to determine the winner of the trip for two to the 2006 Iditarod.

    The annual membership meeting will commence at 7:30 pm. The only agenda item is the election of new board members. You must be a member of the Upper Peninsula Sled dog association to vote. Mile Club members and family memberships are eligible to cast two votes. Both people must be present to vote. A single membership can vote once.
