MIDNIGHT RUN RESULTS
MARQUETTE—The Midnight Run ended Saturday, Feb 19th, 2005 on a brand new course with times faster than originally expected from all of the mushers. The top three finishers Pete Curtice, John Hull, and August Galloway crossed the finish line in Munising only 10 minutes apart. Curtice came in first at 7:24:12 a.m., followed six minutes behind by Hull at 7:32:32, with Galloway wrapping up the three lead spots at 7:34:41 a.m. Full race results are as follows:

Several mushers were recognized for different accomplishments in this race. Pete Curtice was awarded the Cooley Challenge Award for his exemplary care and welfare for his dogs. The Tom Porn Sportsmanship Award honored Andrew Letzring for his positive attitude along with his compassion and fair play interactions with other mushers. The coveted Red Lantern award was given to Leonard McGlynn. Don Galloway was also awarded a $75 certificate from a random drawing sponsored by Wyndwalker Sleds, Mindoro, WI.
