UPSDA ANNOUNCES ADDITION OF NEW LEAD DOG SPONSOR

MARQUETTE —Upper Peninsula Sled Dog Association President Pat Torreano announced that Cellular One has become a lead dog sponsor for the U.P. 200 and Midnight Run. Cellular One will host the Mushers' Banquet, now designated as the Cellular One Banquet. This banquet falls on the Thursday evening before race day and determines the starting order, or bib numbers for the mushers. Cellular One will also sponsor the Midnight Run Banquet, which is now the Cellular One Midnight Run Banquet.

Torreano added "We are delighted to welcome Cellular One to the Sled Dog Races as a lead dog sponsor. Our races are receiving national attention and the momentum is snowballing; its an exciting time to be involved."

Remaining as the charter lead dog sponsor for the races is the Mining Journal.
